Memphis Disc Golf Club Raises $1,700.00 for Ronald McDonald House!!
The Ronald McDonald House of Memphis is a home-away-from-home for 51 children and families. Each of these families has a very brave child who is battling cancer and is receiving treatment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. At the Ronald McDonald House, families can sleep in a warm bed, take a shower in their private bathroom and prepare and eat meals in a spacious, cheerful kitchen. Families, also, have access to a fitness room, meditation room, one of three laundry rooms, a park with playground, a basketball court, and a pavilion. More importantly, families find the support and comfort of others who share the experience of having a very sick child. All families stay free of charge.
The Memphis Disc Golf Club has an annual tournament during the winter called "The Bud Hill Ice Bowl". This Annual Event allows the Memphis Disc Golf Club to give back to the community and help others in need. Read on for Tournament Results! Each year this tournament is held at a Private Disc Golf Course here in the Memphis area called Bud Hill. Thanks to Danny and Barbara Daniels for hosting this fantastic event for such a worthy cause.
