Memphis Disc Golf Club Meeting August 17th 2006--- There will be a Memphis Disc Golf Club Meeting on August 17th 2006 starting at 6:00 pm at the Shelby Forest Ranger Station.  Items to be discussed but not limited to are the September PDGA Tournament at Shelby Farms and Orgil and the November Southern National Tournament at Bud Hill and Shelby Forest, Shelby Forest Tee Signs, Shelby Farms Tee Signs and other Club Matters. EVERYONE is invited, club members or non-club members.

Copper Hills Classic
PDGA B-Tier SNDG Qualifer

Dates of competition: Saturday September 23rd - Sunday 24th

Location: Edmund Orgill Park (Millington, TN). Shelby Farms (Memphis, TN)

Friday: Informal Flip Up Doubles- Edmund Orgill Park
Saturday: 2 Rounds- Edmund Orgill Park
Sunday: 2 Rounds- Shelby Farms

Friday Flip Up: There will be an informal flip-up doubles round at Edmund Orgill Friday afternoon.

Singles:
This 4 Round Single's Tournament is Dual Sanctioned by the PDGA (B-Tier) and the SNDG. There will be a $5 One Day Membership Fee for all non-PDGA members. The 2m Rule will Not be in effect. All other PDGA rules will apply and be enforced, including 804.05.A.4.

Divisions and Entry Fees:
Men Pro Open: $60
Men Pro Masters: $50
Men Pro Grand Masters: $50
Women Pro Open: $40
Women Pro Masters: $30
Men Amateur Advanced: $40
Men Amateur Advanced Masters: $40
Men Amateur: $30
Women Adv Am: $30
Women Amateurs: $20
Junior/Novice: $15

Please note that Amateur Masters will not be offered as this division does not exist in the PDGA system.

Players Package: Amateur competitors will receive a Players Package which will consist of, at a minimum, a custom artwork disc. Additional items may be added at the sole discretion of the Club. Players Packs will only be available to the first 50 Registered Players in an Amateur division.

Pre-registration: There will be a Cap of 72 Players (18 holes x 4). Consequently Pre-Registration is Encouraged. Pre-Register On-Line at

Late Registration: Saturday July 30th from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Edmund Orgill Park. Registration will close at exactly the time stated above. Please register with cash. Note: even if you have pre-registered, you must check in with the TD Saturday morning.

Player's Meeting: The Player's Meeting will begin at the course parking lot at Edmund Orgill Park at exactly 9:00 a.m. Attendance is mandatory.

Tee Times: Tee off will be at exactly 10:00 a.m. The second round tee time will be one hour after the last scorecard from the first round is turned in.

Basket Positions: Baskets may be moved between rounds. The first round will generally have baskets in the short position. The second round will generally have baskets in the long position. Out of bounds, mandos and alternate T-Pads will be covered at the Player's Meeting.

Alternate Tees: Alternate Tees may be in effect for Juniors/Novice and Am Women only. Any alternate tees will be announced at the Player's Meeting.

Other Activities: Details to be announced at the Player's Meeting. Whether any or all of the events listed below will be played will be at the sole discretion of the TD.

Awards Ceremony: The Awards Ceremony will be held at Shelby Farms after the second round Sunday.

General Information:
Lodging: There will be primitive camping available at Bud Hill. Sites are first come, first claimed. A list of hotels in the area is available upon request.

Chainrattlers and the Jackson Area Disc Golf Club will be sponsoring the 2006 Discraft International One Disc Ace Race on September 9, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Players meeting will be at 9:30. Tournament cost is $25. More information can be found at the tournament web site:
